Saint Mary’s College, Senior Session ⎮ Yesi Lopez

Ominous clouds passing overhead. Wind picking up. The bright sun peaking in and out of the fluffy clouds zipping by. After rescheduling and a last minute timing change, we beat the rain in Moraga, California! The rain was scheduled to come down right in the middle of our shoot, and luckily we were able to start earlier, and were blessed with great weather!

Yesi Lopez is in the Saint Mary’s College graduating class of 2019. She finished finals with flying colors and just walked across the stage last weekend! Yesi graduated with her BA in Justice, Community, and Leadership (JCL), with a minor in environmental studies. After college, Yesi is looking forward to getting into law so she can help save the environment! While on campus we took pictures at places that had a lot of meaning to Yesi. We started at De La Salle Hall, which was her freshman dorm where everything started. She also spent a lot of time in this hall because it’s where the Campus Activies Board (CAB) offices are. CAB is responsible for hosting events throughout the year for all of the students to enjoy. Yesi loved her time working with CAB while at Saint Mary’s, especially the people that she was working with. Recently, Yesi was the coordinator for concerts and carnival events that were held at the college, talk about a fun job!

Yesi’s boyfriend Nathaniel just happened to walk by and be in the right place at the right time. He willingly hopped in for a couple of pictures, and then hung around the rest of the session to help if needed. Not to give him all of the credit, but he definitely helped Yesi bring out her natural smile and laughter. So kind, so sweet! Nathaniel and Yesi met through their involvement in the Campus Activities Board while at Saint Mary’s. Nathaniel graduated with his degree in business and lives just a hop skip and a jump away from Saint Mary’s, in Pittsburg, California.

Yesi, I had so much fun touring around Saint Mary’s College with you! I loved learning about your activities and how involved you were at Saint Mary’s! You were also super flexible with weather and timing and I really appreciate that! It was so special getting to meet Nathaniel, and he had some great jokes that made all of us laugh! I can’t wait to see the impact you make on the environment!

Congratulations to the 2019 graduating class from Saint Mary’s College!
